With the help of Shropshire Tourism our family of websites (Stokes Barn, Sytche Caravan and Camping and The Edge) have been re-launched. All three websites have had a complete re-brand and design to make them look part of the same family and to make it easier for you the visitors to navigate around our websites.

Threshing Barns

This property is a converted 19th Century Threshing barn, it can accommodate 28 people in 3 rooms (6,10,12) all bunk beds.

There is a large Dining Room, Living room (with flat screen TV & DVD player). Industrial size Kitchen, which is fully equipped with (most) of the things you should need during your stay. Toilet & Shower facilities (there is also a disabled toilet). Outside there is a communal Courtyard & Bonfire area, plus large field.

This unique property is in a quiet rural location, although we are only a 3 min drive from the village of Much Wenlock. We backstraight onto The Wenlock Edge where you can walk for miles & miles on clearly marked paths.

Becuase of our location it also makes an ideal spot for Wedding receptions as there is ample space for marquees, parking & even space for guests to camp.

Our properties appeal to a wide range of people, many of whom choose to come back year after year as it fulfils their needs at the same time as offering something a bit different.

Exciting New Development for 2009

The Granary has been fully renovated for 2009 this property now sleeps 16 people in 3 upstairs rooms of (2,4,10) all bunk beds & singles.

This property is a smaller version of The Barn. We back straight onto The Wenlock Edge where you can walk for miles & miles on clearly marked paths & our quiet rural location appeals to a wide range of groups.

Stokes Threshing Barn & Granary are based just outside Much Wenlock, Shropshire & can be hired together or separately to suit your accommodation & budget requirements.

Finding Much Wenlock

When heading North on the M6 exit at junction 10a.
When heading South exit at junction 11.
Join the M54 and stay on until junction 6, take the first exit off the round-a-bout above the motorway and continue to follow signs for Much Wenlock.

When approaching from any other direction, Much Wenlock is ½ way between Bridgenorth and Shrewsbury on the A458

Finding Stokes Barn Complex

Entering Much Wenlock from Telford on the A4169 you will be confronted with a T-junction (you will be facing the Gaskell Arms Hotel). Turn right onto the A458.
We are located just ¼ of a mile outside Much Wenlock on the A458 heading towards Shrewsbury. As you leave Much Wenlock you pass between the National speed limits sign (white circle with black diagonal slash) and Stokes Barn is the 2nd driveway on the left (about 100 metres).
The driveway is easily wide enough for coaches and other large vehicles.
Stay on the right-hand side of the drive. Follow laneway round to the right and up the hill where it will lead you to Stokes Threshing Barn, Stokes Cottage and The Granary.
Please Park in the car parks provided (not in the courtyard area).
